Flossie Beatrice SMITH

SMITH , Flossie Beatrice - Age 92, of Flint, died July 24, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, July 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation 2-8 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Flossie was born November 11, 1920 in Cardwell, MO, the daughter of James and Polly (Fortner) Russell. She was a member of the West Flint Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved quilting, gardening, and her grandkids. Surviving are: four children, Barbara Hall of Owosso, Billie Sue and husband Gerald Hall of Flint, Leo Eugene Vaughn of the Dominican Republic, James Daniel Vaughn and wife Janet of California; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Vaughn in 1952; her husband Hubert Smith in 1987; daughter Dolores McAffee; two grandchildren Yvonne Wiley, Scott Daniel; three brothers, Clarence, Robert "Bud" Russell, and Russel Crockett; two sisters, Juanita Creager and Marcella Morgan; son-in-law, Dale Hall.
