Floyd Lee Jackson

Floyd Lee Jackson, aged 78 passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026 surrounded by his wife, loved ones, and her best friend of 46 years.

He was a very devoted husband to his wife Cathy of 27 years, and a loving step-father to Gordan (Rusty) and Hila Hopson. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Ken and Gene and his sister Carol. Also by his other family members and his special friends.

Floyd proudly served his country and was able to see the world while being enlisted with the U.S. Navy. On the same day he was discharge he started his career at the Chevy V8 Engine Plant for the next 30 + years.

Outside of work, Floyd was most himself in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his buddies. He was a devoted NASCAR fan and did not miss a race or a discussion with Ken afterwards. His other passion for the Detroit Lions was fiesty and full of frustration as he yelled at the tv but continue to watch the games!

By Enjoying life to the fullest and his funniest one liner: GET UP OFF THAT THANG!……….HUH!!! And many others! He enjoyed being the life of the party wherever he went.
