December 2, 1927 — November 7, 2013

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, November 12 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, Fr. Tom Firestone celebrant. Interment services 1:30 PM Tuesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 1- 4 PM Sunday, and 4-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 9-10 AM Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Powers Catholic High School. Ford was born December 2, 1927 in Corunna the son of Earl and Gladys (Serr) Schooley. He was a graduate of Corunna HIgh School. He was a veteran of the U.S.army serving in Korea. He married Jane Meagher November 28, 1964 in Flint. Ford retired from GM in 1993. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the VFW in Corunna. Ford enjoyed golfing and was an avid U of M fan! Surviving are: wife Jane; two sons, Matt (Lori) Schooley of Alma, Lynn (Gena) Schooley of Gaylord; grandchildren, Anthony Schooley of Allen Park, Nathan Schooley, Ashley ( Casey) Mueller, Kalen Schooley, all of Alma; great-grandchildren, Reese and Jackson Mueller; sisters, Jean Bowersmith and Billie Sleeper; brother Gary Schooley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
