BARTELS, Francis C. - age 74, of Fenton, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Select Specialty Care. Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service Saturday. Francis was born May 18, 1937 in Detroit, the son of Frank Joseph and Georgina (Cooper) Bartels. He married Betty Cruce on February 3, 1961. Francis retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years and also retired form Holly Schools in maintenance. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are: wife, Betty of Fenton; daughter, Tammy Bartels; son, Frank Bartels; two grandchildren, Joseph and Jessica Bartels; cousin, Chuck and Thelma Reed; special friends, Nancy and Ed Renwick.
