NOVAK, Frank Joseph - age 93, of Flushing went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2013 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St. Flushing with Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at the church. Frank was born February 6, 1920 in North Star Twp., the son of John and Mary Novak. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving during World War II. He retried from General Motors in 1982 after 37 years of service. Frank was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and the Flushing VFW Post 5666. He was an active volunteer in his church and community. Surviving are: significant other, Marianne Ballge; two daughters, Stefanie Hobbs and Rebecca Kassion; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Novak; seven grandchildren, Karen, Stephen and Jeff Novak, Cyndi Cantu, Kristina Hanson, Carri Ciarmitaro and Bryan Schluckbier; five great-grandchildren, Dominic, Gabriella, Kaleb, Julian and Gracie.
