Frank Charles SZABO

SZABO, Frank Charles - Age 87, of Gaines, died December 18, 2013. Services will be 1 PM Monday April 7 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Mr. Szabo was born April 27, 1926 in Flint the son of Frank and Julia (Husar) Szabo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He married Rufina J. Klein on May 21, 1955 in Flint. Mr. Szabo retired from GM in 1979 with 37.5 years of service. Frank was a talented artist, working with stained glass and painting. He enjoyed fishing on his farm pond and hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. Surviving are: wife of 58 years, Rena; daughter Susan and husband John Hoyes of Linden; grandchildren, Courtney and Jacob; two sisters, Julia and Anita. He was preceded in death by his parents.
