Freda Ridge

RIDGE, Freda Agnes - Age 91, of Otisville, died Monday, January 16, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 212 Center St, Otisville. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to American Diabetes Association, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, or your local church. Freda was born July 24, 1925 in Fayette, MI the daughter of William and Angelina (Rochefort) Robere. She married James Martin Ridge March 15, 1945 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death March 3, 1976. She had resided in Otisville since 2012 coming from Burton. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Flint Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 629, Grand Blanc Moose Lodge Chapter #1965, and was a life member of the Davison V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #4087. Surviving are: brothers, George (Elaine) Robere of Cooks and Herman (Ellen) Robere of Fayette; sister, Nancy Dalgord of Fayette; several nieces and nephews, and she was the Godmother of Brandi Wilmot of Flint. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Betty Lou; brothers, Herbert, Isaac, Russell, Edmond, and William, Jr., Robere; sisters, Irene Beaudry, Bertha Robere, Gloria Robere, Laura Robinson, and Evon Perry.
