Gary Emerick

EMERICK, Gary Lee,- Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died March 19,2017. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church 2526 Corunna Rd., Flint. Pastor Samuel Hacker III officiating. Interment with Military Honors to follow at 2PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday, March 21,2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and 11AM Wednesday until the time of service 12 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Lutheran Church or any Cancer Research Foundation. Gary was born November 17, 1940 in Flint, the son of Charles and Gladys (Vere) Emerick. He married Sally Krueger on December 19,1964 in Flint. Gary proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 35 years as an Assembler with Fisher Body and Buick City. He was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Gary was a "fix it Guy", he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grand children. Gary is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Sherri Harley, Kris(Gloria) Johnson, Kim Emerick, and Tammy (Shiro) Onedera; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Reed, and Sharon Blaska.
