Gary Lee LAGNESS

LAGNESS, Gary Lee - Age 73, of Byron, died December 8, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Association of the Deaf. Gary was born March 22, 1940 in Flint the son of Harvey and Alma (Cox) Lagness. He married Willie Janice Lewis on May 17, 1986. He retired from GM - Buick in 1999 with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Flint Association of the Deaf for 54 years. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. He enjoyed traveling and friends. Surviving are: wife of 27 years, Janice; step-daughter, Debbie (Cris) Eckert of Byron; grandchildren, Melanie and Melissa Eckert; brother David (Theresa) Lagness of Flushing; sister Bonnie (David) Hall of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and many friends from the deaf club.
