Gary Schlicht

SCHLICHT, Gary Eugene - Age 82, of Flushing, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Flushing Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00PM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Gary was born July 8, 1940 in Bay City, he moved to Flint in 1952 and later to Flushing.  He was a graduate of Dye High School (1958).  Gary worked for Buick Motor Division from 1962 until he retired in 1999.  Gary loved to bowl.  He was Vice President of the Flint Bowling Association, twice voted Director Of The Year, was Flint City Tournament Honoree in 1994 and was inducted into the Flint Bowling Hall of Fame in 2005.  Gary was an avid golfer also.  His greatest love was his family.  He leaves them to cherish their memories.  He leaves his wife (Joyce), Daughters, Robin (Greg) Vito, Rhonda (Mike) Griffin, granddaughters Amanda (Chris) Ariss, Kailee Vito and Steve Caldwell, Madison Griffin, great grandchildren, Owen, Liam, Ryleigh, Josie and Leila, brother, Alan (Sherry) Schlicht, several nieces and nephews.  Gary was preceded in death by his mother and father.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
