Gary "Magic" W. Torrey

Gary "Magic" W. Torrey, age 74, of Burton, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. The gathering to celebrate his life will be 2PM- 4PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

Gary was born on December 18, 1949, in Flint, Michigan to the late Ralph and Freda Torrey Estes. Gary retired from General Motors.  He married Beulah Kingsbury and together they shared many years of marriage together. Gary was a Harley Davidson fanatic. At the end of every year, he'd preorder for his next motorcycle model reserved for the following season. Throughout his years of riding, he attended many rallies. Just to name a few; Beam Blossom, Dayton and Strugis. The friendships he made through riding motorcycles were many. He taught many gun safety and training courses. Some of his fondest memories where fishing with his family. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Above all, Gary cherished his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Beulah; his children, Scott Torrey, Christina (Corey) Raines and Jonathan Torrey; stepchildren Gary (Rose) Wood and Brandy (Brett) Walker; grandchildren, Jason Andrews, Shawn Andrews, Nicole Gindlesperger, Ron Torrey, Nathan Walker, Kayla Keller, Carter, Brockmen, Jennifer Wood, Travis Brockmen, Morgan Wood and Bianca Benson; 11 great-grandchildren and his three siblings, Dennis Torrey, Larry Torrey, Vicki Mulford. Gary is further survived by many other dear nieces, nephews and other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
