COONEY, Gavin Ryan - age 36, of Durand, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Services will be held 2 PM Monday, September 6, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Interment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Gavin R. Cooney Memorial Fund. Gavin was born October 16, 1973 in Flint. He was a certified welder, a sports fanatic and a loving husband, son and brother. Gavin married Sandi Bradley on July 15, 2006. Surviving are: wife, Sandi; step-daughter, Kaylon Bradley; father, Thomas Cooney of Flint; mother, Linda (Bob) Thornton of Linden; siblings, Gwen (Ryan) Mann of VA, Brett (Brandy) Walker, Shane (Andrea) Best, Malissa Best; special aunt, Carol (Bob) Bates; uncle, Mike (Zonta) Best; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, also survive.
