Gene C. BURCH

BURCH, Gene C. - age 75, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 in his home in Flint, MI. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, January 4, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Robert L. Dickie of Berean Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held 1-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Gene was born September 12, 1937 in Cullman, Alabama. In 1953 he moved to Flint, Michigan. Gene worked at General Motors for 28 years, he retired in 1986. He was a regular member of Berean Baptist Church. He enjoyed church activities, woodworking, country music and spending time with his family. Gene is preceded in death by his baby daughter, Shelia, and by his parents, Irona and Ralph Burch. Gene is survived by his wife, Patricia; brother, Norm (Peggy); daughter, Diana (John) Martinez; three grandchildren, Candice (Joel) Morse, Adam Martinez, and Gina (Neil) Adams; and great grandchildren, Calvin, Audrey and Piper; as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have monetary donations made to Berean Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 6705 Rustic Ridge Trail, Grand Blanc. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice Advantage of Flint for their support in his final days.
