Genevieve Lucille SUMMERS

SUMMERS, Genevieve L. - Age 87, formerly of Fenton, died January 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Mike Prince will officiate. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service. Genevieve was born March 23, 1923 in Birmingham, the daughter of Neil and Gladys (Giddings) King. She was married to Burton Summers on May 31, 1958; he preceded her in death on September 12, 2005. She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed life more because of them. Surviving are: children, Sharon (Roger) Coleman, Carol (Eugene) Elliott, Diana (Dwight) Dawson, Burton (Carol) Summers, Elaine (Dennis) Degner, Roger (Linda) Summers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
