WRIGHT, Genevieve E. - Age 96, of Fenton, died March 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, March 17, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton United Methodist Church. Genevieve was born April 6, 1917 in East Jordan, the daughter of Allie and Anna (LaLonde) Carr. She married LaVerne Wright on September 29, 1939 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2009. She volunteered at Hurley Hospital and loved caring for people. Genevieve was a member of Parkland Presbyterian Church in Flint and First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac.Genevieve is survived by her children, Carole (Gene) Hunt of Harbor Springs, Fred (Sandy) Wright of Linden; 4 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. The family would like to give a special thank you to Courtyard Manor of Fenton.
