Geoffrey F. Drouin

DROUIN, Geoffrey F. - age 76 of Swartz Creek, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM - 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Flint Association of the Deaf (www.fadarrows1919.org). Geoffrey Drouin was born on September 27, 1948, in Sault Ste. Marie, the son of Phillip and Margaret (Watson) Drouin. He married Suzanne Standley on March 25, 1972, and they shared 40 years of marriage before her passing on June 24, 2012. Geoffrey was a tender-hearted family man who found much joy in spending time with his loved ones. He always had a smile on his face and wasn't scared to be a goofball for a good laugh. He had a passion for card playing, dominos and never ending Lottery scratch offs. A dedicated fan of all Detroit sports, he especially loved cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. He thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of nature and the wildlife in it. In fact, he was blessed to have many deer and turkey visit his own backyard and loved sharing updates on the little animal families that would pass through.. Geoffrey was an active member of the Flint Association of the Deaf and the family extends a special thank you to his friends there for their love and support. It was their friendships that helped Geoffrey to adapt to a new normal after his wife's passing. Surviving are: son, Jeremy Standley; two daughters, Danielle (Gary) Rustin and Stacey (Steve) Marr; seven grandchildren, Jamari, Jaylen, Kylar, Gavin, Ashley, Raynee, and Callahan; two great-grandchildren, Dove and Remi; three siblings, Delores McKenzie, Yvonne Rucker, and Steve Drouin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Phyllis Munro and Paulette Porcaro. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
