BECKWITH, George Charles - Age 95, of Fenton, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026. Services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via George's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Inurnment immediately following in the Columbarium at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. George was born July 23, 1931, in Flint, the son of George and Margaret (McCullough) Beckwith. He was a 1949 graduate of Flint Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving during the Korean War Era. He married Imelda Maxine McCauley May 26, 1951, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint. George retired from Fisher Body as a tool and die supervisor. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, collecting antique war weapons and built model planes and cars. He also had an avid interest in aviation. George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Whether it was escorting Imelda to the mall, spending quality time with Linda, or picking up the grandkids from school, he prioritized his family above all else.

Surviving are: his wife of 75 years, Imelda; daughter, Linda (Dr. James) Garfield of Fenton; granddaughters, Storm (Corey) Bonkowski of Royal Oak and Skylar (Adam) Ritchie of Plymouth; great grandson, George Warren Ritchie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Beckwith; and sister, Joan Coon. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
