George Jay Lee

Lee, George Jay - Age 81, of Flint, died December 25, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday December 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1225 Robert T. Longway Blvd., Flint, Michigan 48503. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Monday, December 29 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc; and 10 AM until the time of the funeral at 11 AM Tuesday December 30 at the church.

George was born June 5, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the son of James Addison Lee and Josephine M. (Gould ) Lee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married to Nancy Shetler in 1997. He retired from General Motors Buick Motor Division in 1998 after many years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a Cub Scout Leader. He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are:wife Nancy; step-children, Samuel (LiuAnn) Boylan, Michael Boylan, Gary (Chris) Boylan, Deborah Boylan, Karen Boylan, James Boylan, Marie Bachmeier, Peter Boylan, Kristin (Matt) Grignani; daughter Rebecca Lee; forty fine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; brother Paul John (Jane) Lee; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Lee and Ralph Lee; and sisters, Lula Mae Grennay, Maxine Lee and June Lott.
