George Salk

SALK, George - Age 83, of Flint Township, died Saturday, February 18, 2017. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Rabbi Yisroel Weingarten officiating. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery. George was born June 18, 1933 in Moscow, Russia the son of Gershon and Golda (Amdur) Sulkovski. He married Lia Shlyapin May 31, 1972 in Riga, Latvia. He has resided in Flint since 1975 coming from Latvia. George retired in 1998 from AC Spark Plug (Delphi) after 22 years of service. Surviving are: his wife, Lia; 3 children, Yelena (Aleksandr) Gefter of Troy, Julie (Benyamin) Dotan of Rochester Hills, and Jeffrey Salk of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Mariya and Alisa Gefter and Ari and Ella Dotan; and sister, Agnes Sulkovski of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Lilia Pushina, of Troy.
