Georgia Rose

ROSE, Georgia Lou - age 92, of Fenton, died December 15, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Tim Hobson officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday and 11 AM - 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Georgia was born October 16, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Ira T. and Sylva (Lynn) Wright. She was raised a minister's daughter, she and her siblings traveled in a church band, the Traveling Wrights. She played the piano and accordion. Georgia married Arnold "Tom" Rose and he preceded her in death in 1993. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting but mostly loved spending time with her family. Surviving are: five children, James (Diane) Hanna, Cheryl (Dutch) West, Tom (Sharon) Rose, Cindy (Ed) Breeding, Penny (Dallas) Robinson; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Sue) Wright, David Wright and Phillip Wright. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Tom Rose; daughter, Brenda Hamp; siblings, Bruce Wright, Byron Wright, and Ruth Johnson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
