Gerald Anderson

ANDERSON, Gerald Lee - age 74, of Flint, died December 31, 2021. A memorial service will be held 4 PM Friday, January 7, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The family will receive friends from 2 PM - 4 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Gerald Anderson Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Gerald was born September 9, 1947 in Des Moines, IA, the son of Carroll G. and Elise H. (Coon) Anderson. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and a Certified Public Accountant. Gerald had worked for both the City of Flint and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He loved nature, camping, hiking and jogging. Surviving are: special life partner, Vickie Benko; daughter, Kathryn Anderson (Jason McDermott); special step-son, Damon (Erica) Riley; step-children, Kendra (Matthew) Pierce, Mandy (Brian) Farmer and Karl (Bri) Benko; special granddaughters, Emma and Leah; other grandchildren include, Hannah, Olivia, Brennan, Evan and Hailey; siblings, Duane Anderson, William (Judy) Anderson, and Barbara (Michael) Burdgick; many nieces and nephews.
