GOODWIN, Gerald C., of Flushing, age 91, passed away on July 14, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring to make contributions may do so to Avalon Hospice. Jerry was born September 9, 1918 in Flint, the son of the late Wesley A. and Gladys (Schultz) Goodwin. Jerry married Ivadel Sullivan in 1950 in Flint, she preceded him in death. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Jerry retired from what he called "The Buick" with 30 years of service.He also owned and operated many small businesses in the Genesee and Shiawassee areas. Jerry is survived by his daughters; Sally (Larry) Dikos of Lennon, and Pamela Goodwin of Flushing, grandchildren; Paul, Nate, and Nick Spaniola, Mandy (Dikos) Shepard, David (Jennifer) Schifo, Wesley and Zachary Goodwin, great-grandchildren; Cody Spaniola, Ben and Brandon Schifo, son-in-law; Don Fromholz of FL, and his special friend Jane Schultz. He was preceded in death also by his son Gerald Clayton II and daughter Heidi Fromholz. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
