HUNT, Gerald Edward - age 77, of Macomb, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Henry Ford Hospital. Services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-9 PM Friday and 11:30 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Kidney Foundation. Mr. Hunt was born February 21, 1935 in Flint, the son of Carmen and Nola (Bass) Hunt. He married Shirley Klabunda on May 3, 1958. Mr. Hunt was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He received a bachelor's degree from GMI and retired from Buick Motor Division in 1990 after 37 years of service. Surviving are: wife, Shirley of Macomb; three daughters, Jill Hunt of Oxford, Laurie Heaton of Chesterfield, Karen Regmont of Lake Orion; five grandchildren, Alicia, Jacob, Lindsey, Isabelle, and Olivia; sister, Shirley and husband, Ed Petrucha of Swartz Creek. His daughter, Karen Ann Hunt, preceded him in death.
