SCHAFER, Gerald F. "Jerry" - Age 75, of Fenton, died September 9, 2013. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey and Fr. Dwight Ezop con-celebrants. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be held 7 PM Wednesday followed by a Knights of Columbus Service. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Cross Children's Services, 8759 Clinton Macon Rd., Clinton, MI 49236. Jerry was born December 7, 1937 in Owosso, the son of Herbert and Zada (Fedewa) Schafer. He was married to Jean Goodman on June 21, 1958. Surviving are: wife, Jean; children, Kathy (David) Wilks, David (Mary Jane) Schafer, Michael Schafer and Patrick Schafer; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Donald) Williams, Janet (Jack) Tamboer.
