Gerald Jerry Skinner

SKINNER, Gerald Jerry "Dutch" - Age 78, of Fenton, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, followed by a V.F.W. Memorial Service. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243.

Jerry was born July 5, 1947 in Flint, the son of Joseph and Edith (Marsh) Skinner. He was a 1965 graduate of Fenton High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. He has resided in the Fenton area his entire life. Jerry retired from Fenton Extended Care in maintenance. He was a member of the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243, where he was very active with the Honor Guard and the Friday Fish Fry's.

Surviving are: his brother, Bernard "Red" Skinner of Linden; nieces, Andrea Lewandowski of Linden and Mariah (Kyle) Hackett of Linden; special friend, Nancy Yarbrough of Fenton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edith Skinner; and brother, David Skinner. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
