Gerald Arthur WOLFE

WOLFE, Gerald Arthur--Age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Monday June 10, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the Old Newsboys of Flint. Gerald was born April 29, 1921 the son of Henry and Carrie (Powell) Wolfe. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII in the Pacific, and then later in Korea. His rank was Radioman First Class. He married Amna Wilson on June 22, 1946 in Flint. Gerald retired from the US Department of Transportation and the Federal Railroad Administration. He was a good father and husband and enjoyed his family very much. He also enjoyed genealogy research of his family and his wife 's family, and loved sharing the information he found. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Amna; 3 Children, David Wolfe of Swartz Creek, Dennis (Deborah) Wolfe of Lake Isabella MI., Lori (Robert) Atkinson of Macomb MI; 3 grandchildren, Emma Atkinson, Shawn French and Mitch French; 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; brother, Clarence Wolfe "Chum"; Numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law.
