SLOAT, Gerrit Wesley - Of Grand Blanc, died June 30, 2015. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Vocational Independence Program. Gerrit loved sports, enjoyed traveling and golf. His children will fondly remember all of the times he said "Remember, your Father loves you" He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Deborah (Mark), Terrance, Timothy, Wesley (Paul), Daniel (Kelly), Courtney, Catharine; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Steve (Jan) and Paul; sister, Christine (Scott).
