Gloria June Capello

CAPELLO, Gloria June - Age 91, of Grand Blanc, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Gloria's obituary page at www.sharpfunearlhomes.com). Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 PM until the time of the service.

Gloria was born June 20, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of Hector "Albert" and Naomi Mary (Robinson) Capello. She attended All Saints Catholic Schools and St. Michael Catholic Schools; she received a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Detroit and her Master's Degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She continued her education and earned many certificates and accomplishments. She attended a boarding school in Nouveau, IL, where the Mormons had lived at one time, she then entered the convent from 1951 - 1965. She had resided in Grand Blanc for the past 20 years coming from Flint. Gloria retired from Carman Ainsworth Community Schools as a teacher after 43 years of service. She served as a negotiator for the Teacher's Union for many years.
