Gwen M. Jensen

Jensen, Gwen M. - age 66 of Fenton, passed away on January 11, 2026. A funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430) with Benjamen Evers officiating. The service will also be live streamed and can be viewed via the link at the base of this obituary. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2026 and from 2:00 PM Saturday until the time of the service. Gwen was born on July 25, 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Gordon Neil and Nancy Lee (Kruger) Pankey. She graduated from Waterford Township High School and pursued her passion for horses, owning and caring for several over the years. She married James Franklin Jensen on September 18, 1982 in Union Lake, Michigan. Gwen was devoted to her family and was known for her beautiful gardening and landscaping of flower beds. She was a "hockey mom" who also had a flare for sewing, baking, cake decorating, card games and she was pretty handy with a set of tools. In 2024, Gwen retired from Home Depot after many years of service.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, James. Loving children, Craig (Kayla) Jensen of Madison Heights and Erica (Brad) Peterson of Flint. Cherished grandson, Maverick. Dear sister of, Roger (Jan) Pankey of Three Rivers and Glen (Sherri) Pankey of Howell. Daughter-in-law to, Caroline Jensen of Grand Blanc. Sister-in-law to, Jerry (Alice) Jensen of Holly and Christina Miller of Howell. Also surviving are 10 nieces and nephews and many friends. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Christian Jensen.
