Gwenn was born August 23, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Ellis) Johns. She later married John Rauch, in Grand Blanc, Michigan on December 23, 1967. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on October 6, 2012.
Gwenn was a proud graduate of Bowling Green University and continued her studies at Oakland University. She dedicated more than 30 years to shaping young minds as a beloved second- and third-grade teacher at Myers Elementary School in the Grand Blanc School District.

She was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) and participated in activities at the Loose Senior Center. Gwenn was also a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton and previously Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc.
Creativity was one of Gwenn’s great joys. She was an avid crafter who loved cross-stitch, needlepoint, basket weaving, and jewelry making.
