Haley Darlene Shaw

Haley Darlene (Nicks) Shaw, age 38, of Swartz Creek, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home. Cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Dr. Steven Wood officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.

Haley was born on May 11, 1987, in Flint, the daughter of Ronald and Trudy (Troop) Nicks. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School with the Class of 2005 and continued her education at the University of Michigan–Flint, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Haley worked as a project manager in Lansing for Everstream. She was united in marriage to Jordan on September 14, 2013 in Flushing.

Haley had a huge heart for animals and lovingly cared for her three companions, Banjo, Zero, and Nero. She treasured time spent with family at gatherings and most recently enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. Haley could often be found with a Diet Coke from McDonald’s and her purse in hand, reading a good book, or playing video games. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Jordan; her parents, Ronald and Trudy Nicks; her in-laws, David and Susan Shaw; her grandmother, Irene Shaw; and several aunts, uncles, brothers in laws, sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Haley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darlene Peacock, Elinor Pruette, and Bob and Carolyn Nicks. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
