Harland Congdon

CONGDON, Harland - Age 70, of Linden, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026. Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Harland's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Roland Drummond officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Harland was born May 23, 1956 in Flint, the son of Harland and Violet (Petry) Congdon. He was a 1974 graduate of Fenton High School. He had resided in the Linden area most of his life. He retired from General Motors as a pipe fitter after 45 years of service. Harland enjoyed boating, running, and watching the University of Michigan football games.

Surviving are: his siblings, JoAnn Allen of Grand Blanc, Greg (Joy) Congdon of Petoskey, and Darrell (Lynn) Congdon of Swartz Creek; former wife, Ann Brady of Linden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland and Violet Congdon; sister, Sherry Ainsworth; and brother, Jeff Congdon. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
