Harmon "Bud" Smith

Smith, Harmon "Bud" - Age 99, of Burton, passed away October 1, 2026. A service will be announced at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, Michigan, 48442. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Michigan, 48507.

Bud was born April 27, 1927 in Knobel, Arkansas, the son of Harmon and Mary (Cox) Smith. He married Opal Lucille Hicks on May 19, 1951, they celebrated 70 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on October 30, 2021. Bud was a proud veteran of The United States Army serving in World War II. He worked for Associated Truck Lines as a truck driver for many years.

Bud and his wife spent 35 years wintering in Sebring, Florida making a wonderful network of friends over the years.. He loved to golf and he golfed well into his 90's.

Bud is survived by his 3 children, Guy (Christine Mienkwic) Smith of Swartz Creek, Lisa Adams of Arkansas, Ty (Joann) Smith of Fenton; grandsons, Jason Adams, Kyle Smith, Adam Smith and Zach Smith; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings.
