SAGE, Harold Russell - Age 91, of Fenton, died May 19, 2012. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, 1-3 & 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be recited at 7:45 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John GIFT fund. Harold was born May 28, 1920 in Linden, the son of Russell and Mary "Minnie" Sage. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lifetime member of the Linden V.F.W. Mr. Sage retired from General Motors. He enjoyed horses and horse racing; he was a lifetime member of St. John Parish. Surviving are: 9 children, Carlton Sage and wife DeVota of Swartz Creek, Marcia Sage of Ann Arbor, John Sage and wife Vicki of Linden, Jayne Ellsworth of Linden, Paul Sage and wife Lorrie of Fenton, Michael Sage and wife Julie of Fenton, David Sage and wife Melody of Linden, Lisa Rheingans and husband Jeffery of Fenton, Robert Sage and January Wawro of Fenton; 21 grandchildren, Tracey Knapp and husband Stephen, Steven Sage and wife Traci, Jeffrey Sage and wife Katie, Ryan Sage and wife Miriam, Sean Sage and wife Karey, Jeromy Sage and wife Anna, Kelli Post and husband Josh, Zachary Ellsworth and wife Kelly, Jacob Ellsworth and wife Samantha, Melanie Fredericks and husband Steve, Meagan Cooke and husband Chris, Mary Hitchings and husband Robert, Kyle Sage and wife Monica, Patrick and Brendan "B" Sage, Mitchell Rheingans and wife Katie, Matthew and Megan Rheingans, Aimee Boan and husband Blake, Asher Wawro, Rosemary Sage; 28 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Cameron, Katelyn, Madeline, Benjamin, Jonathan, Andrew, Elise, Sophia, John, Aidan, Teaghan, Rowan, Darcy, Tyler, Dylan, Jase, Kara, Kaylee, Paige, McKenna, Caitlyn, Lily, Gavin, Jenika, Anna, Connor, Luke; sister, Cecelia Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary on June 21, 2006; three sisters, Madeline Sage, Helen Mary Dawson, Mildred Hurd.
