Harry Louis LAHAR

October 31, 1926 — January 7, 2013

LAHAR, Harry Louis, age 86, of Mt.Morris, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 12PM Friday, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller RD., Swartz Creek. Father Thomas Firestone, celebrant. Burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint following services. Visitation will be held 1PM to 8PM with a 7PM rosary Thursday and again 10AM until time of service Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mr. Lahar was born October 31, 1926 in Flint, the son of the late George Sr. and Zilda (Pero) Lahar. He married Joyce Ann Lambert, September 1, 1951 in Flint. Harry enjoyed helping his neighbors, and loved plowing snow with his tractor. He served his country in the Navy during WWII. Harry retired from G.M. Ternstedt with 31 years of service as plant protection. Surviving are: wife of 61 years, Joyce Lahar of Mt. Morris; daughters, Karen Lahar of NC, Carol (Pat) Willits of Grand Blanc; daughter-in-law, Doris Lahar of Mt. Morris; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; brother, Dewayne (Jackie) Lahar of Flushing; sister, Beth (Eugene) Kalakay of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas David Lahar, great-grandson, Colton; sister, Lucille Bissonnette, brothers, George Lahar Jr., Gary Lahar and Eugene Lahar.
