Hazel Elizabeth OLSON

OLSON, Hazel Elizabeth - Age 92, of Flint, died July 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 3 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Kevin Harbin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday, 10 AM until the time of the service Wednesday. Hazel was born September 29, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Burke) Moore. She was married to Herbert John "Olie" Olson on July 8, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio; he preceded her in death January 24, 2002. She was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star in Grayling. Surviving are two sons, James Olson of Lennon, Rodger (and wife Phyllis) Olson of Flint; three granddaughters, Jennifer (and husband Phil) Brady, Nancy (fiance Donald Scott) Olson, Cynthia (and husband Jason) Cole; sister, Norine Conelly of St. Petersburg, FL; great-grandsons, Nathan and Ryan Cole.
