Hazel Reed

REED, Hazel Christine -- Age 98, of Flushing. The angels gently carried her to God on January 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, January 19, at Lennon Weslyan Church, 11280 E. Lennon Rd., with Pastor Dana Beland and Don Prantl officiating. Burial will follow in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 - 8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the Church. Hazel was born October 6, 1916 in Avert, MO, the daughter of Mart V. and Eliza M. (Bowlin) Robey. She married Julian Forrest Reed on December 25, 1936 in Bell City, MO; he preceded her in death on August 8, 1991. Hazel valued her family. She loved her gardens and birds, and was a prize winning quilter. Hazel is survived by her children, Javada (Raymond) Eves of Flint, Nola (Dennis) Hall of Vanderbilt, Vickie Yott of Flushing, Shirley (Donald) Prantl of West Plains, MO; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mollie D. Cook of Cincinnati, OH; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julian; siblings, Curtis, Ralph, Bacil, Delfis, Opal and A.D.
