Eitel, Helen Marie - Age 97, of Swartz Creek, formerly of Flint and Lennon, passed away August 27, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday September 1, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Chaplain Cory Hamilton (of Medical Team Hospice)officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of the funeral at 1 PM on Monday September 1. Those desiring may make contributions to the Burton Senior Center, Alzheimers Association or Lennon Area Veterans Park.
Helen was born May 3, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Ralph Irving Denton and Celena Jane (Armstrong) Denton. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Albert Eitel on April 2, 1948 in Flint. He preceded her in death March 3, 2019. They owned and operated G&H Grocery for 30 years.
She was a member of the Lioness Club of Lennon. She was very active in the Burton Senior Center, often there several times a week. She was involved with the Razz-A-Ma-Taz Band, Tap Dancing, Travel Club and she was an Arthritis Exercise instructor.
Helen had an amazing fun personality and loved music (especially Elvis) & dancing! She was extremely proud of her children and grand-children. Family meant everything and she was always there for everyone. Helen loved life & lived each day to the fullest. She always said, Life is what you make it !
Surviving are: her six children, Ronald (Audrey) Eitel of Corunna, Robin Serra of Waterford, Mary (Chris) Roedel of Corunna, Lee (Wayne) Goulet of Flint, Suzanne (Brad) Jacobs of Flint, Amy (Abe) DeVries of Middleville; Grandchildren: Wendy, Nicole, Danielle, Eddie, Jason, Allison, Cody, Taylor, Kaitlin, Holly, Raeven, and Bella; Great-grandchildren: Brady, Paige, Chloe, Piper, Daphne, Sullivan, Everett, Lorelai, Beckett, Maddilyn, Esme, Penelope, Blake, Shane, Hailey, Dallas, Aubree, Avery, True; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime friend, Marge Bond.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; her parents; two sisters, Betty Deal and Maxine Hitchings; and brother Ralph Denton.
Helen's family extends their gratitude to Swank Home for their loving care of Helen and how they made her feel like it was home.
