Helen Lefanowicz, of Fenton, passed away on April 1, 2026 at Courtyard Manor of Fenton. She was 90 years old.
Born on February 8, 1936, she was one of eight children born to George and Elizabeth (Grega) Yambrick in Flint, MI. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Fenton. Helen enjoyed traveling, loved animals (especially dogs). Never having children of her own she cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews, and was known for her wonderful sense of humor. She was very devoted to her church and to her faith.
Helen is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews as well as good friends Carol and Jackie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Lefanowicz, four brothers George, Alexander, John and Joseph as well as three sisters Anna, Betty and Mary.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, 10:00 am at the Chapel of the Holy Innocents at St. John Catholic Church, Fenton, MI, with Fr. Robert Copeland, officiating. There will be visitation from 9:30am until time of the mass.
Burial will take place in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Helen's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Courtyard of Fenton for their loving care and support.
