YOUMANS, Helen Louise -- Age 87, of Flint, died Monday November 11, 2013 at Clare Bridge Memory Care. Visitation will be 2-6 PM Thursday, November 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Private interment Friday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church Food Pantry or the Alzheimers Association. Helen was born November 19, 1925 in Ithaca, the daughter of Eugene and Lily (Riley) Bosh. She married Robert Youmans on June 17, 1945 in Flint. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2010. She retired from Michigan Bell with 23 years of service. Helen was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Surviving are: two children, Robert "Bob" (wife Katie) Youmans Jr., Bethany (husband David) Bentoski; grandchildren Lori Bentoski (fiancee Steve Hackett), David Marc (wife Amanda) Bentoski, Ryan "Chip" (wife Laurie) Youmans; great-grandchildren, Christian Bentoski, Jack, Max, and Ella Grace Youmans; sister, Delta Groenwoud; special niece Peggy (husband Dick) Cole; special friend, Joan Sperlin. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; and grandson, Robert "Bobby" Youmans III. Helen was lovingly cared for at McFarland.
