BARKER, Helena Irene - Age 83, of Owosso, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Mausoleum at Hillcrest Cemetery, Owosso. Pastor Wesley Coffey officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Owosso Wesleyan Church, 715 S. Washington, Owosso. Mrs. Barker was born June 22, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Otto Lee and Edna May (Siegle) Turnbull. She has resided in Owosso for the past 20 plus years coming from Swartz Creek/Flint. She was a member of Owosso Wesleyan Church. Surviving are: 3 children, Rebecca Hammond of Harrison, Brenda Nidefski of Durand, and Gregory James and wife Connie Griffin of Belleville, IL; 5 grandchildren; sister, Lela and husband John Snell of Durand; brother, Glen and wife Ruth Turnbull of Flint; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Joe Nidefski; grandson, Eric Griffin; and companion, Bob Bloss.
