Hershel W. LEWIS

LEWIS, Hershel W. - age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Holt Senior Care and Rehab. Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society. Hershel was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Force in the Pacific theatre. Following the war he worked at General Motors from 1946 - 1981. Hershel is survived by three children, Tommy E. Lewis, Flint, Marceline E. Lewis, Flint and Christopher W. Lewis (Diane), Lansing. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Hershel was preceded in death by wife Christine Dee Lewis. They were married for 36 years until her death in 2007.
