MARTINEZ Sr., Ildefonso Santiago "Jim" age 73, of Clio, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be 7:00PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Fr. Cecilio Reyna officiating. Visitation will be Monday 2-8PM and Tuesday 2PM until time of service at the funeral home. A rosary will be prayed 6:30PM Monday at the funeral home. Jim was born January 23, 1939 in Donna, Texas the son of the late Inez and Concepcion (Rodriguez) Martinez. He married Jerriann Guest on June 24, 1995 in Rogers City. Jim was employed at General Motors, Buick Powertrain for 37 years until his retirement in 2006. He has lived in Clio for the last 8 years, coming from Flint. Jim enjoyed gardening and his special hobby was scratch off lottery tickets. Surviving are his wife, Jerriann; 5 children, Ildefonso S. Martinez Jr. of Texas, April, Martina, Noah and Leah Martinez all of Clio; brother, Pablo Martinez, sisters, Cristina Soliz, Susie Mendoza and Pat Cruz;and several nieces and nephews.
