Irene A. Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, Irene A. - Age 88, of Linden, died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. No services will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to Almost Home Assisted Living. Irene was born May 24, 1915 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Madeline (Scalzini) Cosi. She married Carleton Fairbanks on October 7, 1939 in Flint; he preceded her in death on April 30, 2002. Mrs. Fairbanks had lived in Linden for many years. She was a loving mother and mother-in-law, an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by: son, Gary Allan and wife Janice Fairbanks of Fenton; grandchildren, Scott David Fairbanks, Christopher Joseph and wife Angela Fairbanks, Kelly Rene and husband Eric Miller, Jonathan Patrick Fairbanks; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Rene, Caleb and Brianna; two sisters, Lucy Scalvini and Joan Selley; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ortense Miner and Delores Meredith.
