KRANZ, Irene I. (Gondol) - Age 86, of Flushing, died Sunday, February 26, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St, Flushing. Fr. Anthony Gordon and Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Wednesday from 2-8 PM and at church Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home Wednesday at 5 PM. Irene was born October 22, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Simon and Anna (Police) Gondol. She was a 1949 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Maynard Joseph Kranz September 11, 1954 in Flint. She had resided in Flushing since 1971 coming from Flint. Irene retired in 1992 as a Ward Clerk from St. Joseph Hospital in Flint after 22 years of service and she also had been previously employed by Buick Motor Division. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Surviving are: her husband of 62 years, Maynard; 6 children, Karen (Robert) Demock of Flushing, Kenneth (Tina) Kranz of Linden, Kathleen (Scott) Moore of Rockford, Kileen (Al) Laase of Grand Junction, CO, Karrie (John) Jones of Kalamazoo, and Keith (Sherri) Kranz of Flushing; 17 grandchildren, Kristi, Katie, Kellie, Andrew, Alex, Tasha, Tifany, Kelsi, Geoffrey, Evan, Emily, Ellen, Eden, Ellie, Max, Kyle, and Maddie; 6 great grandchildren, Jack, Avery, Finnley, William, Drew, and Benjamin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
