Garvelink (May) , Irma I. - Age 78 , of Zephyrhills, passed away September 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Robert Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc . Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Thursday and 11AM -3PM and 5PM - 8PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Gift of Life . Irma was born on January 12, 1935 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ernest and Lena Carter. She was a master Gardener and a member of the Garden Club of Michigan. Irma enjoyed cooking, especially fudge, and singing and playing piano in church. Surviving are: husband, Charles E. Garvelink of Zephyrhills, FL; daughters, Susan (Daniel) Snow of MI, Linda (Bart) Reeser of TN; sons, Curtis (Terry) May and John (Ann) May both of MI; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Gerri Carter of AZ; step-daughter, Rosemary (Jim) Klingerburg; step-sons, Duane (Sonja) Garvelink and Norm (Phyllis) Garvelink, both of MI.
