Iva Schofield

Schofield, Iva Jean - Age 83, of Roscommon, formerly of Flint, died December 12, 2018. Funeral service will be held 4 PM Monday December 17 at Calvary Community Church 1201 W. 12th St. Flint. Reverend Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Visitation will be held 6-9PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint and from 2-4PM Monday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Alzheimer's Association. Iva was born August 19, 1935 the daughter of Harlan and Florence Hutchinson. Iva was known for her great sense of humor and her famous homemade bread. She loved the outdoors including fishing, deer hunting, snowmobiling and playing in the woods. She was an avid bowler until she was 80 years old and it may come of no surprise, but she was also a race car driver at Auto City Speedway. Iva is survived by her children, Dori (Carl Jr.) Bair of Flint, Phyllis Hill of Grand Blanc Township, William "Bill" (Cindy) Fitch of Grand Blanc Township, Shannon (Jerry) Fitch of Mt. Morris; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Ina Haverhals; sister, Norrine "Kay" (John) Bond; several nieces and nephews. Many thanks to her special granddaughter and personal photographer, Deajean, Maple Place and Care Team Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. Fitch; mother-in-law, Lillian Duford; sisters, Mary and Corrine; 2 children, Cynthia "CW" Weatherford and John E. Fitch; granddaughter, Jennifer Weatherford-Jefferies; son-in-law, Jac Hill.
