J. Scruggs

SCRUGGS, J. Glenn- Age 86, of Flint, died Thursday January 10, 2019. Services will be held 2:30PM Monday February 4 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location, Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Glenn was born February 27, 1932 in Cullman, Alabama, the son of the late Forrest and Margaret (Morgan) Scruggs. Mr. Scruggs proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Coca-Cola Beverage company with 30 years of service. Glenn enjoyed traveling, visiting family and his cat, Bonnie. Surviving are: children, Kim (Marion) Hakowski of Saginaw; son, Tim Scruggs of Swartz Creek; step-daughter, Tammy Withey of Flint; grandchildren, Katrina ( Andrew Barnett)Scruggs of Flint, Timothy Scruggs II of Swartz Creek, Eric Kilpatric of FL, Ella Scruggs of Swartz Creek, and great granddaughter, Myleigh Barnett of Flint. He was also survived by his brother, Eugene Scruggs of FL and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Joyce Scruggs and sister, Margaret.
