James Leston AUGSBURY

AUGSBURY, James Leston -- Age 84, of Flint Township, died November 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday November 6, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Hal Phillips officiating. Interment in Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Township. Visitation will be held 3-8PM Tuesday, 1-2 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Radio Bible Class, Grand Rapids. Jim was born May 3, 1929 in Lennon the son of George and Florence (Bouck) Augsbury. He was a 1947 graduate of Dye High School. He married Janice Collver April 12, 1969 in Flint. He served in the National Guard. He was employed by GM and several local dealerships as parts manager. Jim was an original member of the Genesee Gear Grinders Auto Club. Surviving are: wife, Janice; 5 children, Rick (Jennea) Augsbury, Larry Augsbury, Cheryl (Rick) Marshall, Dawn Augsbury, Holli (Dale) Gage; grandchildren; Angela (Greg), Karrie (Justin), Jamie (Mike), Zachary, Chad (Shelly), Cassie (Jon), Calvin (Jamie); 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenna Maxwell; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Augsbury; grandson, Ricky Marshall; great-grandson, Kasey Augsbury; and sister Ruth Panek.
