James Bey

BEY, James William - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died August 29, 2014. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Stephen Stahlhut officiating. Committal services in Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia. Visitation will be held 9 AM - 12 Noon Tuesday. James was born October 31, 1919 in Alpena, the son of William Bey and Hattie (Weide) Bey. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Leona Brauer on April 27, 1943 in Detroit. He was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church. Surviving are: wife of 71 years Leona; children, Pamela (Bill) Altemus of Howell, Douglas (Kathy) Bey of Westland; two grandchildren, Ann Altemus, Megan Altemus; and sister Mildred Timmerick.
